Antique silver created in the Scottish town of Elgin is considered rare and this dessert spoon is a great example at a very competitive price.
Complete with the stamped full name "ELGIN", in addition to the Scottish thistle and the WF maker's mark for William Ferguson, this fiddle pattern spoon has all the basic desirable marks that are wanted to give a full attribution to this north eastern town. The spoon is further engraved to the front terminal with "McC" and gothic "B" ownership initials.
The condition of the spoon is excellent with clear marks, a good, thick bowl tip and authentic patina.
