Sold
Mote Spoon - Scroll & Crosslet Pierced - London circa 1750 by Ebenezer Coker - 13cm long; 8g - HJ/4875</p>
Ebenezer Coker was the leading specialist flatware maker of the 18th century from whom a long line of premier spoonmakers emanated. This mote spoon bears a clear example of his "EC" maker's mark, plus the requisite lion passant in the 1739-55 form. The spoon is attractively pierced to the bowl and bears an initial "D". It is in fine condition with a diamond point to the handle terminal.
