John Edward Terrey (maker's mark "IET") is renown as one of the finest silversmiths of the late Georgian period and this fine quality silver mustard pot is a great, affordable example of his output. The body of the pot is finely chased with flowers and has a cartouche to the centre that features an engraved crest depicting a bull. The mustard pot retains some of its original gilding and is fitted with a nicely fitting blue glass liner with small cut-out to accommodate. This fabulous mustard pot is in excellent condition with a clear set of hallmarks.
