Caddy Spoon - Chased Fiddle pattern & fluted bowl - London 1854 by Thomas Edwards - 8.8cm long; 16g - VL/4848

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is a very attractive Victorian silver caddy spoon with all over floral chased decoration. It has a beautiful, shell shaped bowl that has been nicely embellished with scrolls, leafy tendrils and flowers. The fiddle-shaped handle has a scroll cartouche that is lightly engraved with a "P". The maker, Thomas Edwards, was the son of Edward Edwards who was better known for his fine quality snuff boxes, the "TE" maker's mark was clearly struck on the third attempt! Excellent condition throughout.
