Sorry, this item is out of stock.

We are offering an outstanding set of 18 silver-gilt ice cream spades in one of the most sought after flatware patterns. Bacchanalian pattern is a superbly detailed pattern that was originally designed for Rundell, Bridge & Rundell and used primarily for dessert services. Each stem is decorated with a Classical scene of semi-clad revellers celebrating the festival of Bacchus: the Roman God of the grape harvest and wine. The reverse of the stem bears wine related objects and an engraved cipher. Each spoon is cleverly parcel gilt with the highlight points remaining in silver to give a beautiful two tone appearance.

Finding any Bacchanalian pattern pieces is a hard task, but to find a complete set within their original case is quite a coup - furthermore there are 18 spoons! All the spoons remain in magnificent condition with absolutely no wear as they have been perfectly preserved within their case. The case is lined with a plush Royal purple and is also in fine condition with the Goldsmiths Alliance retailers stamp impressed to the inside cover.
