Caddy Spoon - Chased Fiddle Pattern with Fluted Bowl - London 1824 by Thomas Edwards - 9.2cm long; 19g - BK/3151

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is a very handsome caddy spoon with the most wonderful chased decoration. Chasing is a superior and more difficult to execute form of decoration to the more standard engraving - it is done with hammer and chisel-like chasing tools rather than The handle has prettily chased flowers with an engraved Gothic style "C" to the cartouche. The bowl has flower heads to the tips of alternating flutes with leaf motifs to those between and further foliage below the handle junction. The spoon has a satisfying feel in the hand and is in excellent condition.
