Caddy Spoon - Basket Weave - London 1869 by George Fox - 13.5cm long, 38g - EO/2692

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

George Fox was one of the finest and most innovative of Victorian period silversmiths and this tea caddy spoon bears testament to that fact. The Witch's Besom caddy spoon was one his creations and this spoon is of similar length and shows the same high quality in terms of weight and design. The spoon has a finely pieced bowl (too fine for sugar) and attractive basket weave design to both bowl and handle, reminiscent of a fisherman's creel. The cartouche to the terminal bears an engraved cipher with hallmarks struck to the reverse side.
