Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is a stunning quality antique silver table spoon in the scare and desirable Admiralty pattern.

Weighing in at 3 tr.oz., this early Victorian table spoon was made for the Royal Navy for use at the captain's table or on dry land in the officer's mess  - the broad arrow motif near the hallmarks denotes navy issue. It is clearly hallmarked to the underside and includes the GA mark for the premier flatware makers Chawner & Company (GA for George Adams the owner at the time).

Admiralty Pattern was first produced circa 1838 for use by the Royal Navy and so this is a very early example. The excellent condition includes a crisp fouled anchor motif to the front and a satisfying thick tip to the bowl.
