Sorry, this item is out of stock.

A very beautiful Georgian silver snuff box that has been expertly made by the foremost silversmithing partnership working from Newcastle in the 18th century - Langlands & Robertson. The box is in the typical style for the late 18th century with a navette-shape, bright-cut engraved decoration and a well made "secret" hinge. The cover is engraved with a seated stag and the interior is stamped with appropriate marks for the period - as well as the distinctive maker initials, the flat base to the lion passant mark indicate provincial manufacture. The box is in fine original condition throughout.
